The Breville grill is one of my favourite kitchen appliances. It’s one of the best designed grills out there and is second to no other grill that I’ve seen.

Cleaning this baby up is easy as wiping it down with just a couple wet paper towels. There is a grease tray the can easily be rinsed out with water.

If you like to make sandwiches, you can use this sort of like a Panini grill. You can basically put a sandwich inside and  get that nice gourmet grill done.

The flat side of the grill can be adjusted for different angles. The rib site, however, will always stay flat. This is great since the grill works wonders for breakfast. Thrown on some steak and eggs or maybe some sausages and eggs. It works wonders.

If you are going to cook breakfast on the Breville grill, start by putting the bacon on the rib side of the  grill. You can toast the bread or make delicious pancakes on the flat side of the grill. Once the bacon is almost done, move it to the flat side.

This grill is really good with pancakes. You even get that nice golden finish on each end of the pancakes. The non stick surface on the grill is effective as well.

I usually just leave the Breville grill’s temperature on full, but if you want to micromanage things a bit, you can adjust it. The grill really heats up fast, probably about 3 or 4 minutes. Another delicious food just meant for this grill are  grill cheese sandwiches. Use the grill as a Panini press and a couple minutes later you’ll have out of this world grill cheese sandwiches.

Not that if you want those “grill” marks, you are going to have to flip your sandwich since only one side of the grill has the rib edges. Since the top is adjustable, you can ensure that you don’t crush any sandwich or food in the press. I’ve had some so called sandwiches makers that press down so hard the resulting sandwiches look like pancakes. Not so with this machines!

This machine is also, to my surprise I might add, great for hamburgers. You can cook up to 6 hamburgers on one side without any hitch all the while toasting the buns on the other side. Draining the oil is easy as just adjusting the flat side so the grease slides down into the tray. You can also catch grease from the ribbed side as well with the tray.

The cooking surface can’t be removed – which is a bit annoying and pretty much my only complaint – but you can easily clean it down with a few wipes of some paper town. All in all, the Breville grill is probably the best grill out there and puts the competition to shame. It’s also quite a bit bigger than other grills as well so you have much more room to work with.

So if you want an efficient, easy to use grill, get this one!
